Say you have supplied a product or service to the Central Government and wish to send an invoice. In this case, you must send an e-invoice. You can send e-invoices through your own accounting package or via the Supplier Portal. There is always a way that fits your needs.
On this website, we explain how e-invoicing works.
What is an e-invoice?
An e-invoice looks like a regular invoice but also contains codes. These codes are structured in a standardized way, allowing the invoice to be processed automatically. Important: a PDF or any other file sent by email is not an e-invoice. E-invoicing is faster, more secure, and easier than sending a (PDF) invoice by email.
